Cradle to cradle is theory. EcoWorx backing is the practice. And the EcoWorx Recovery Technology Facility in Cartersville, Georgia is where it happens. The facility separates carpet made with EcoWorx into two recycling streams. One contains EcoWorx backing and the other contains Eco Solution Q face fiber, which goes off to our Evergreen Nylon Recycling Facility to complete its cradle to cradle cycle.

For EcoWorx tile, the process is called elutriation. It consists of grinding the carpet into a coarse mixture, then separating the elements based on their weight using air flow and gravity. And remember, there's no waste - only ingredients for new carpet.
